Painful experiences, especially from early in life, can keep affecting how we think, feel and relate to others. Counselling gives you a safe, confidential space to understand them and find new ways of coping.
It usually takes several sessions and works best when you attend regularly. It can help with depression, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, PTSD, bereavement, eating difficulties, addiction, phobias and more.

Practical information
- Session length: about 50 minutes, usually at the same time each week.
- Cancellations: at least 24 hours’ notice on a working day (Monday to Friday). Late cancellations and missed sessions are charged in full. See the refund policy.
- Holidays: your session time is kept while you’re away. I’ll give as much notice as possible of my own holidays.
- Ending: you can stop at any time. I ask for two weeks’ notice so we can end well.
Confidentiality
What you share is confidential. I discuss my work with a clinical supervisor without identifying you. The only exception is a serious risk of harm to you or others, when I may need to inform your doctor or, rarely, the police. Wherever possible I would talk to you first.
Complaints
If you’re unhappy, please tell me so we can put it right. You can also contact the BACP.
Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do you offer online counselling?
Yes. Sessions are available online by Zoom or Google Meet, or by telephone, wherever you are. We’ll talk about suitability, location and availability before your first appointment.
What issues can therapy help with?
Therapy can support anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, ADHD-related challenges, grief, anger, relationship concerns, self-esteem and personal development.
What is the difference between CBT and EMDR?
CBT looks at the links between thoughts, emotions and behaviours, and helps you develop practical ways of responding to difficulties. EMDR is a structured psychotherapy that helps people process distressing experiences and memories. Which suits you depends on your circumstances, and we’ll decide together.
How long is a session, and what does it cost?
Sessions last about 50 minutes. Individual counselling is £75 (₦75,000) per session, and your first 15-minute consultation is free. See the fees page for all prices and concessions.
Is what I share confidential?
Yes. Everything you share is confidential, within the professional limits explained in the first session, for example if there were a serious risk of harm to you or someone else.
How do I get started?
Send a consultation request using the form on this website. Include your preferred location or online format and the best way to contact you, and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.
